We are a couple in our mid 60's, we always have eaten reasonable well but a lot of meat, mostly chicken and I have an occasional Steak which my wife won't eat. So I guess we are about half way there.

We try to eat as many fruit and vegetables as possible but is hard if you don't make that the primary source of nutrition. This morning I saw a presentation by Dr. Joel Furhman that changed the whole way I look at food and as it relates to health. I have a few health issues and getting just as healthy as I can knowing that my issues are not reversible. I am going to start with dishes mostly Asian that use a lot of veggies to begin with and just leave out the meat and still keep the best part which is the sauce in most cases. I have a lot of questions and I thought what better place than a veggie forum. I did order 4 of Dr. Furhman's books but they won't be here for a while.
